On the east coast of Canada, cradled by the quiet waves of the Gulf of St. Laurence, lies Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island. With its unique red soil contrasted by the miles of white sand dunes the Island is a destination well worth the journey. Prince Edward Island experiences pleasant weather from late May until mid October making it suitable for swimming from late June until early September.
Standing at the geographic centre of this beautiful Island is Cavendish Beach and its nice white sand dunes. Cavendish is possibly best knows as the home of Anne of Green Gables.
Anne Shirley is the imaginative and enthusiastic character in a series of books written by the author L.M Montgomery.
